About

Rendity started in Vienna in 2015 as one of Austria's first real estate crowdinvesting platforms. For most of its life you lent money to a property developer through a qualified subordinated loan, which ranks behind every other creditor if the developer fails. Later it added PropShares, tokenised participation rights in a rental property with an ISIN and a lien in the land register, paying monthly rent and a share of any gain on sale after a minimum five-year term. By 2024 it reported more than 37,000 investors and 222 financed projects. Rendity charged no direct fee to invest. Operating costs, management, legal and tax costs came out of the rent before you were paid, a 1.5% fee applied to each side of a trade on its trading platform, and Rendity kept 20% of the increase in value when a property was sold. The platform stopped offering new projects in April 2024. On 16 February 2026 it told investors it was ending operations and putting the company into liquidation, after rising interest rates, higher building costs and insolvencies among its project companies. Your contract was always with the individual project company, not with Rendity, so repayments now depend on each project. The website returned an unavailable page when checked on 24 October 2026.
